Overview:
Alexander Carrick, a business with an unparalleled reputation and loyal customer base facing a challenging economy in 2025. Whilst the business is stronger and more skilled than ever in production terms, the outwards facing brand and marketing is outdated and holding the business back.
Approach:
Develop the exisitng brand to create a timeless platform for future growth. Aim to discover the fundamental differences that make this company the most desirable choice. Showcase the impeccable standard of work and craftsmanship through curated video and photography.
Results:
The business had long been producing exceptional bespoke kitchens and furniture, backed by decades of craftsmanship and an outstanding reputation. The challenge wasn't the quality of the product—it was ensuring the brand reflected that same level of excellence in an increasingly competitive market and during a challenging economic climate.
By evolving the existing identity, refining the brand strategy, and creating a more premium and cohesive visual presence, the business was better equipped to communicate its true value and differentiate itself from competitors. The refreshed brand reinforces the quality, heritage, and personal service that customers have trusted for over 40 years, while appealing to discerning homeowners looking to invest in beautifully crafted, bespoke interiors. The result is a stronger market position, greater consistency across every customer touchpoint, and a brand that is well equipped to support the business's continued growth and long-term ambitions.
Rather than starting from scratch, we chose to evolve a brand that had been recognised and trusted for many years. By retaining its familiar assets and making thoughtful, subtle refinements, we preserved the brand equity built over decades while giving it a fresh, contemporary feel. This approach maintained customer recognition and loyalty, ensuring the brand continued to feel familiar while remaining relevant for the future.
To modernise the brand while respecting its heritage, we introduced a new typeface that stayed true to the character of the original but brought a more contemporary, confident feel. We also refined the proportions of the AC icon and wordmark to create a stronger sense of balance, authority, and clarity.
Consistency was another key focus. We established clear guidelines for how the identity should be applied across every touchpoint, ensuring a cohesive and premium brand experience that reflects the quality of the business.
Particular attention was given to the colour palette. We retained the recognisable signature blue that customers already associated with the brand, while introducing a suite of complementary colours to add flexibility, depth, and warmth. The result is a visual identity that feels fresh and versatile without losing the familiarity that has been built over four decades.
From a strategic perspective, we identified three core strengths that set the business apart: an exclusive local service, an exceptional, timeless product, and a genuinely personal approach. These differentiators became the foundation of the brand strategy, shaping not only the visual identity but also the messaging, tone of voice, and overall customer experience.

“We needed an outside perspective on our brand and guidance on how we could craft it to work harder for our company. We’re confident in our product and an upwards shift in our positioning allows us to target new, larger scale projects. It has instigated a whole wave of motivation in our team who are excited by the changes. Our old website was holding us back and turning customers away. Now, it’s a business tool we couldn’t be without. Saving us time in all areas of our projects, generating meaningful inquiries and it truly reflects our brand, our values and why we love what we do.”
